Bob Marley

Bob Marley was a famous Jamaican singer and musician. His style of music was reggae. Marley’s music was greatly influenced by the social things of his home and Jamaican people.

Bob Marley was born on 6th February 1945 in the village of Nine Mile in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica as Nesta Robert Marley.

His father, Norval Sinclair Marley, was a white Jamaican of English descent whose family came from Essex, England. Her mother was Cedella Booker.

In 1963 he started to play music with The Wailers, a reggae band music. His most famous songs are: No woman no cry, Buffalo Soldier, Three little birds….

He died in 11 May 1981 when he was only 36 years old, because Marley had injured his toe playing football. In July 1977, he was found to have acral lentiginous melanoma.
