The Turia is a Spanish river which has its source in the Montes Universales of the northwestern Sistema Ibérico. From its source to approximately the city of Teruel, it is called Guadalaviar river. This river, runs trough the Spanish provinces of Teruel, Cuenca and Valencia and flows into the Mediterranean sea.
The length of the Turia is 280 km and two interesting facts about the river are that the river Turia near its source in the Montes Universales is known as Guadalaviar river until Teruel city and that in the year 1969 this river was divided in two at the western city limits.
