Matthew Gray Gubler, was born in Las Vegas, Nevada; on March 9, 1980. He is an actor and a model. Gubler had no plan to end as an actor, he attended different art schools with the idea of improving public speaking, that is why he attended Las Vegas Academy of International Studies (1998).
After that, Gray enrolled at the University of California at Santa Cruz, but changed to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts to stydy filmmaking and directing (2002).
A model agent saw him on the street, asked him if he was interested in a modeling career. Was one of the most sought after models. But never renounced to his acting career. After making several movies, he worked on the series Criminal Minds as Dr. Spencer Reid.
