Barcelona is the capital city of Catalonia. With 1,602,386 inhabitants it is the most populous city in Spain after Madrid. Barcelona is a dynamic city. It offers something new and interesting in every corner of the city: the famous Ramblas avenue, Gaudi’s Güell Park and the incomplete Sagrada Familia Church, the old Raval quarter, La Ribera and La Barceloneta. Getting around Barcelona is easy.  You can walk around the city, it also has an underground service which is very easy to use, but Barcelona also offers a bike rental service daily. Gaudi is very important in Barcelona.  He has a distinct architectural style and is admired worldwide. His most notable works are Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and Casa Batlló. Las Ramblas was and still is the most important part of the tourist attraction list for Barcelona. It is one of main streets with a length of 1.2 km in the center of town, with a car-free zone lined with trees, separating the Gothic quarters and El Raval and connecting Plaza Catalunya with Columbus monument. Barcelona is a city with a beach. Not many cities in Europe can enjoy a beach. But Barcelona is located in the Mediterranean Costa Brava and can enjoy it.
