Pine marten is an animal native to Northern Europe and it belongs to the mustelid family. It measures like a domestic cat (53 cm) and its tail can have 25 cm of length. Females are smaller than males. They weigh arround 1,5 kg. Their fur is usually brown and they have a yellow “bib” on their throats and another spot in their stomach. Pine martens have got 38 teeth. When they born they usually weigh arround 30 grammes. They generally live in the forest. They are omnivorous animal and when they are going to eat an animal, they start by drinking their blood. Their are solitary animals.
Its name comes from Middle English.
