Rhythmic Gymnastics

by Yesica and Sara

Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that appeared in the 1880s in Sweden as a means of expression. Nowadays that sport involves doing an exercise in which the gymnasts must have the best punctuation. This sport can be individual or in group. There are five apparatus: indian clubs, hoops, ribbons, ball and ropes. A gymnast’s life is very hard. Professional gymnasts train around 8 hours a day. But this work it doesn’t have a reward. A gymnast can’t pay for all the outlay that a competition involves (tights for more than 300€, hotels…) and her food. Gymnasts do that sport for the fun of it not to earn their living.
