Cameron Jibril Thomaz better known as Wiz Khalifa was born on 8th September 1987 in Minot, North Dakota in the USA. In his entire life he lived in Germany, United Kingdom and Japan before living in Pittsburgh.
His stage name is derived from khalifa, an Arabic word meaning “successor”, and wisdom. Cameron began to sing when he was 14 years old in his high school. But he started recording with Rostrum Records after a meeting with Benjy Grinberg when he was only 16. Khalifa debuted with the mixtape (a collaborative work with various singers) Prince of the City: Welcome to Pistolvania, he became famous with this mixtape and with his first album Show and Prove.
We are writing about him because we’re great fans of Wiz Khalifa, we like the song called Work Hard Play Hard and Black and Yellow a lot. Here’s the video:
