Korean pop is a musical genre from South Korea. This music is listened by teenagers and young people around the world. This genre was spread to the Pacific Rim, the Americas, Eurasia, and North Africa. When there weren’t any social media network, it was only known for outside East and Southeast Asia. In 1992 the group Seo Taiji and Boys debuted. It was an important event in the Korean popular music, they incorporated American styles of music rap, techno etc. Then, more singers began doing that.
In the South Korea there are other types of “Popular Music” but outside, this term is known by Korean teen idols, which covers mostly dance, electronic, rap, hip-hop, and R&B.
