Paris is the capital of France. It is in the center of the Île-de-France region. More than 10 million inhabitants live in Paris. It is the second most populated city in Europe. Paris was the first city in the world that used electricity.
As a curiosity, they have the same wall socket as in Spain. Also Paris has the same currency, the Euro. The people speak French, though sometimes, but less frequently, they speak English. In Paris they don’t have a monarchy, there isn’t king; now François Hollande is ruling in France.
The two better known monuments are the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe; the gardens in Versailles are also very beautiful.
When I went to Paris, I didn’t visit the Eiffel Tower, but I went to Disneyland; it’s a trip that I should like to repeat again, this time to see the monuments, and gardens.
