Where does Rudolph come from?

The famous Santa’s red-nosed reindeer comes from a children story written by Robert L. May in 1939, he called it ‘Christmas Story’.

The story told us about a reindeer who was rejected because he was different from the other ones since he had a red-lighted nose and it lighted at nights.

The autor told us that this story was based in his own life because when he was a child he lived a similar situation, children laughed at him because he was a ‘Snub duckling’ at school.

This story became one of the most famous children stories around the world because nowadays everybody knows Rudolph, the reindeer ,and moreover he became  one of Santa’s reindeers and, of course, children’s favourite.
