Manga is a Japanese word for Japanese comics. Outside Japan, it is used exclusively to refer to nippon cartoons. AkiraToriyama is an example of a famous mangaka (creator of mangas).
The most famous styles of manga are:
Josei: it’s a manga for young women (NANA)
Shojo: it’s a manga for teenage girls (Fruit basket)
Shonen:it’s a manga for teenage boys (Naruto)
